Geological Society of America Rocky Mountain Section Meeting - The GSA 2025 Rocky Mountain Section Meeting will be held in Provo, Utah. The meeting will be three kilometers from the Wasatch fault, which lies at base of the actively growing Wasatch Range, and which marks the boundary between the Rocky Mountain and Basin and Range physiographic provinces. Provo is within an hour drive of Precambrian tillite and Mississippian limestone, Sevier and Laramide structures, Tertiary intrusives, volcanics, and ore bodies, shoreline features from Pleistocene Lake Bonneville, Pleistocene glacial morphology, and many more geologic treasures. |
