Dan started at the Montana Bureau of Mines and Geology in 2018 in the Ground Water Information Center office. He now serves as a Data Scientist supporting the research interests of the Ground Water Assessment and Investigation Programs, the Geohazards and Seismic Programs, and the Analytical Laboratory. During his university studies, Dan completed an undergraduate capstone project and a master's thesis in collaboration with the MBMG, both focused on supplementing drought monitoring efforts with long-term groundwater monitoring data. He continues this research theme by analyzing trends in groundwater-level data from the MBMG statewide groundwater monitoring network.
