Dear Museum Patrons,

This spring there will be significant upgrades to campus and to the Mineral Museum @ Montana Tech. In the Mineral Museum, we will be finishing our renovation project by replacing the frames and adding new glass to our heritage museum cases. In addition, we are adding new lighting to all the displays. At this time, due to safety of our visitors and the integrity of our collection, we will be closed for about a month starting Monday March 17, 2025. Our target reopening date is Monday April 21, 2025.

At that time, construction on campus will continue throughout the summer months and access to the Mineral Museum will be a bit challenging. Parking for the Mineral Museum will be restricted to “the tiers” on the south end of campus below the Mineral Museum. The handicapped parking near the Museum Building will remain open, however, the normal Mineral Museum parking will be closed.

Thank you for your patience, we can’t wait to see you in our newly renovated space starting in mid-April. Please check back for updates. If you have questions, please call 406.496.4414.

Sincerely,
MBMG Museum Staff
